UK REGIONAL CHANNEL LIST CHOICE

Simply set your preferred UK region in the menu and download the latest online channel list. Daily automated or manual downloads are available and ALL UK REGIONS ARE COVERED along with MOST EVERY FTA CHANNEL AVAILABLE via satellite at 28.2E including regional channel versions for each region for local news programming and several more entertainment, movie, music and international channels than some other platforms are able to offer.  ***

RECORD ONE CHANNEL WHILE WATCHING ANOTHER

With twin S/S2 tuners, feeds from Astra 28.2E and an SSD/HDD 'slotted in' to the built in SATA slot then recording one satellite channel while watching another is always possible. Expand this even further by adding a Terrestrial feed to the T/T2 tuner for Terrestrial (Freeview) viewing or recording!

PAUSE AND REWIND LIVE TELEVISION

When an SSD/HDD is 'slotted in' to the built-in SATA slot then full PVR functions are enabled, which includes the ability to pause and rewind live TV and more!

* Requires satellite dish aligned to 28.2 East with signal using a Universal LNB with minimum dual output. SkyQ/Wideband LNB is not directly compatible and will require an adapter (not supplied) or to be exchanging for Universal LNB with minimum dual output. Contact your local installer should you have any questions regarding your own installation.

** Requires Terrestrial TV aerial and signal aligned to the local area 'Freeview' transmitter. Contact your local installer should you have any questions regarding your own installation.

*** Broadband Internet connection to the set-top box is required to be able to download and update regional channel lists and any available firmware updates. All TV channel and programme content provided is what is available publicly as FTA (free to air) content. We are not the broadcaster and therefore not responsible for what FTA content is available at any specific time & this is subject to change beyond our control. This applies to both satellite and terrestrial content, we will not be able to guarantee exactly what content is available, both now or in the future. We will make every effort to keep an 'available channels' list as up to date as possible but this should be used as a guide only and not guarantee of availability.

Amiko Triple Tuner HDD Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a  subscription cost?

This box uses Astra 28.2E satellite which is a subscription free service, there is no charge or subscription fee at all! We are simply combining free-to-air (FTA) satellite and terrestrial channels, packaging it together in one place and with category layouts (Entertainment, News and Sport, Movies etc.) and full 7 day EPG for everything. EPG updates are taken over the air either via satellite or terrestrial (depending on the type of service you have tuned in) and channel list updates with full UK regional choices are made online (Internet connection required), but there are no subscription fees are charges made for these updates which will be provided free of charge for the lifetime of the box being supported. Did we mention, it's free, no charge?!

Do I need a satellite dish and a TV Aerial?

You will need a satellite dish that points to Astra at 28.2 East, the same satellite position as Sky and Freesat use. Ideally you should have 'twin feeds' from the dish and use a Universal LNB, this will allow for recording one channel while watching another. It is possible to use a Wideband (SkyQ) LNB but this will require an adapter (not included). It will even work with just a 'single feed' but this will only allow recording the channel you are watching, so much better to have 'twin feeds' if possible. A TV aerial is not required but should you wish to add this 'feed' as well then you will also be able to view or record the full area selection of Freeview channels, so combined with 'twin feeds' from satellite you can now for example record and watch a satellite channel and also watch or record a terrestrial channel.

Does it connect to a standard Sky dish?

You will need a satellite dish that points to Astra at 28.2 East, the same satellite position as Sky and Freesat use. Ideally you should have 'twin feeds' from the dish and use a Universal LNB, this will allow for recording one channel while watching another. It is possible to use a Wideband (SkyQ) LNB but this will require an adapter (not included). It will even work with just a 'single feed' but this will only allow recording the channel you are watching, so much better to have 'twin feeds' if possible.

Do I need the Internet connected to the receiver?

We are simply combining free-to-air (FTA) satellite and terrestrial channels, packaging it together in one place and with category layouts (Entertainment, News and Sport, Movies etc.) and full 7 day EPG for everything. EPG updates are taken over the air either via satellite or terrestrial (depending on the type of service you have tuned in), so if it's just for watching and recording from satellite or terrestrial then no Internet connection at all is required. However for channel list updates with full UK regional choices that are probably one of the main reasons you will choose this box then these have to be made online as well as software updates and therefore an Internet connection is required for these parts. So as such it's not critical to have an Internet connection to the receiver but it's highly recommended, you will be missing out if you don't!

Can I have more than one receiver on the same subscription?

This is a subscription free service, there is no charge or subscription fee at all! Did we mention, it's free, no charge? (TV licence maybe required in the UK)

Does it rely on my Internet to view channels?

We are simply combining free-to-air (FTA) satellite and terrestrial channels, packaging it together in one place and with category layouts (Entertainment, News and Sport, Movies etc.) and full 7 day EPG for everything. EPG updates are taken over the air either via satellite or terrestrial (depending on the type of service you have tuned in), so if it's just for watching and recording from satellite or watching terrestrial then no Internet connection at all is required.
